Optional Riders
Available for an
Additional
Premium Payment
Compound Benefit Increase Rider
Because the costs of long term care services will likely
increase over time and because the benefit levels of your policy do not
increase over time, you may find this rider to be a very effective way to
protect yourself from the rising costs of care. This rider increases your
Daily Maximum Benefit and your Total Maximum Amount Payable by 5% compounded
annually. Benefits will continue to increase regardless of your claim status.
Full Nonforfeiture Rider
If your policy lapses due to nonpayment of premiums, your
coverage will continue and benefits for this policy and any riders will be
paid until the total of the benefits received by you equals the total of
premiums you have paid. Upon your death while the policy is in force, the
total premiums paid will be paid to your beneficiary without reduction for
benefits received.
Limited Nonforfeiture Rider
If your policy lapses due to nonpayment of premiums, your
coverage will continue and benefits for this policy and any riders will be
paid until the total of benefits received by you equals the total of premiums
you have paid. Upon your death while the policy is in force, the total of
premiums paid, less benefits received, will be paid to your beneficiary.
Shortened Benefit Period Nonforfeiture
If your policy has been in force for at least three years
and lapses due to nonpayment of premiums, your coverage will continue and
benefits for the policy and any riders will be paid until the total amount of
benefits paid equals the total amount of premiums paid. Benefits payable under
this rider will be at least 30 times the Daily Benefit amount in effect on the
date of the lapse.
Paid Up Survivor Benefit
(joint policy only)
The joint policy will be paid up after both of the following
have occurred: the end of the 10th policy year: and the death of either
insured.
